Competitive Procurement

The Area 10 Workforce Development Board follows the procurement system established by the state of Ohio to select partners who deliver workforce and upskilling services. As the regional manager for the workforce system in Richland and Crawford Counties, the board oversees programs that serve both adults and youth. This process ensures that service providers are qualified, accountable, and aligned with the needs of local job seekers and employers. Through this structured approach, Area 10 connects the community with effective training, employment, and career development resources.

Maximizing Performance

We are dedicated to maximizing the impact of every dollar invested, ensuring that funds are used efficiently and effectively to benefit employers and job seekers.

Our Board

The Area 10 Workforce Development Boards must include a majority (at least 51%) of representatives from the business community, ensuring that employer needs and industry perspectives guide workforce strategies. (WIOA legislation) Additionally, the board must include representatives from workforce, education, labor, economic development, and community-based organizations. This diverse membership ensures alignment between training programs and the real-world demands of the regional labor market.
